TULSA – It’s a secret no one knows…but all of Tulsa will soon find out.
A member of Tulsa’s favorite celebrity family will help FC Tulsa unveil the name of its new cerveza at Cabin Boys Brewery. Taylor Hanson, of Hanson, will join FC Tulsa in announcing the fan-voted name of the beer during a Happy Hour at the brewery this Friday afternoon. Taylor Hanson is the founder of Food on the Move, an organization that combats food deserts in Tulsa and a community partner of FC Tulsa.
The Happy Hour, which will last from 4-5:30 p.m., will feature free sample pours for 2021 Season Ticket Members, giveaways from FC Tulsa and supporters getting ready for Saturday’s home FC Tulsa match. During the Happy Hour, FC Tulsa will be giving away two tickets to Hanson’s concert at Cain’s Ballroom on Friday, August 6. Fans can RSVP for the Happy Hour here.
Naming FC Tulsa’s cerveza has been a month-long process of fan input. The club began taking name suggestions in June and fans submitted over 100 names. From there, FC Tulsa and Cabin Boys Brewery narrowed the list down to three of the most popular submissions that fans have been able to vote on over the last week. 2021 Season Ticket Members votes have been weighted heavily and will count for 75% of the final vote total. All other votes will make up the final 25%, and the voting for the name closes at the end of Thursday, July 8.
The cerveza will be available on tap at FC Tulsa’s home match on Saturday night, July 10 at ONEOK Field and all remaining FC Tulsa home matches in 2021. Fans can also grab a pint of the cerveza at Cabin Boys Brewery in the Pearl District.
FC Tulsa’s match on Saturday against Louisville City FC, which kicks off at 7 p.m. CT, will be Teacher Appreciation Night. All teachers in and around Tulsa can receive a special ticket offer at the ONEOK Field box office on matchday to receive specially-priced tickets to the match.
