
TULSA – Before FC Tulsa takes the field for its March 7 USL Championship season opener, the club will play six preseason games, including four matches at home in Tulsa. FC Tulsa will take on teams from various levels of the U.S. Soccer pyramid, from fellow USL Championship club Saint Louis FC, to USL League One champions North Texas FC and a pair of NCAA soccer teams. Home preseason matches will be open to 2020 FC Tulsa Season Ticket Members.
February 8 vs. Oklahoma Wesleyan University (NAIA), 2 p.m., Titan Sports Complex
The preseason slate kicks off against Oklahoma Wesleyan from the NAIA, with FC Tulsa serving as host at Titan Sports Complex at 2 p.m. Oklahoma Wesleyan junior Stefan Lukic was the 2019 NAIA Player of the Year after leading the nation in assists with 17 on the season. With his stellar season, he helped lead the Eagles to a quarterfinal appearance in the NAIA National Championship, and was one of five NAIA All-American selections on the Eagles' roster.
February 16 vs. Saint Louis FC (USL Championship), 2 p.m., Titan Sports Complex
Saint Louis FC will come to Tulsa eight days later, as FC Tulsa will get a rare chance to play a USL Championship Eastern Conference squad. Saint Louis FC is a former member of the Western Conference, and the teams met as recently as 2018. FC Tulsa defender Matt Sheldon spent the 2017 season with Saint Louis FC, where he made 12 appearances and notched one assist.
February 19 vs. Oral Roberts University (NCAA Div. I), 7 p.m., Holland Hall School
FC Tulsa will face off against Oral Roberts University in a midweek match at Holland Hall School in Tulsa. ORU competes in NCAA Division I in the Summit League, and last season advanced to the Summit League Tournament semifinals. The team had five players named to all West-Region teams from its 2019 squad.
February 22 at Rogers State University (NCAA Div. II), 2 p.m., Claremore, OK
FC Tulsa will make its first road trip of the 2020 preseason down the road to Claremore, Oklahoma to take on the Rogers State University Hillcats at Soldier Field. RSU is a member of NCAA Division II and the Great American Conference. In 2019, four Hillcats were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Central Region Team, including Jake Simpson and Dillon Dean, who became the first players in Rogers State soccer history to be named All-Americans.
February 25 at North Texas SC (USL League One), 2 p.m., Frisco, TX
FC Tulsa’s final road preseason match will take place on February 25 against the inaugural USL League One Champions, North Texas SC. The club is an affiliate of FC Dallas in MLS and will host FC Tulsa at its training complex in Frisco, Texas.
February 29 vs. Sporting Kansas City II (USL Championship), 1 p.m., Titan Sports Complex
The final tune-up before the 2020 USL Championship season kicks off will come on February 29 when FC Tulsa welcomes another USL Championship Eastern Conference squad in Sporting Kansas City II. Like Saint Louis FC, the club formerly known as Swope Park Rangers used to play in the Western Conference with FC Tulsa. Newly-signed midfielder Lebo Moloto spent two seasons with then Swope Park Rangers, leading the team to back-to-back USL Championship Final appearances.
