MATCH RECAP: FC Tulsa Fall in Regular Season Finale, Enter Postseason as Seventh Seed

TULSA, Okla. (October 24, 2026) — FC Tulsa fell in its regular season finale on Saturday night in a 2-0 defeat against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC at Weidner Field.

It was a very physical and controversial first half with the referee getting involved early on. A hand ball from Ian Carlo Souza Daniel would give the Switchbacks a penalty which was converted by Khori Bennett. The Scissortails went up a man in stoppage time of the opening frame with Patrick Burner receiving his second yellow card for the hosts.

Despite controlling possession with a man advantage, Tulsa was unable to do much with it as the Switchbacks would double their lead in the 60th minute on a counter play from Sam Williams. The Black and Gold finished with just three shots on the night and head into the playoffs as the seventh seed.

MATCH NOTES

Dane Jacomen finished the regular season with the lowest goals allowed average (0.90) by an FC Tulsa goalkeeper in club history.

NEXT UP: The Scissortails await their opponent for the postseason. They enter as the seventh seed in the Western Conference looking to defend their crown.
