The Western Conference has been a bloodbath in 2026 with the gap between first place and seventh a mere six points. FC Tulsa currently finds themselves in the middle of that pack in fourth place but has matches in hand on both El Paso and Orange County ahead of them. As the club continues to get players back from injury, the Scissortails are in prime position to make a late charge with matches left against five of its top six challengers. This weekend, they welcome a Rhode Island side that is missing some key contributors but is still a tough side to break down.
PROMOTIONS
Back to School Night: Promotional highlights of Saturday’s match include an FC Tulsa lunch box giveaway for the first 500 fans at the gate. There will be meet and greets on the concourse with the TU Spirit Squad and men’s soccer team while a halftime kid’s parade will take place on the field. The club is also excited to host a new school supply drive at ONEOK Field this Saturday night in partnership with Kiwanis Club of Tulsa. A donation earns you the chance to win a match-worn 2025 USL Championship Final kit!
FC Tulsa announced that it has signed General Manager and Sporting Director Caleb Sewell to a long-term contract extension. Since Sewell’s arrival in Oklahoma, the Scissortails have reached new heights on the pitch under his leadership culminating in a Western Conference championship last season and hosting the USL Championship Final, both firsts for the club. The club has continued that trajectory in 2026 as it fights to bring more playoff soccer to the 918.
