TULSA – FC Tulsa’s April 17 preseason match at ONEOK Field will be more than just a tune up to defend its USL Championship Playoffs appearance, it will be an opportunity for the club to continue giving back to the Tulsa community. The Tulsa Area United Way, one of the largest charitable organizations in Tulsa, will be the Presenting Partner of the preseason match against Austin Bold FC. In addition, 5% of Season Tickets Memberships purchased from now until kickoff of the match will be donated back to Tulsa Area United Way, up to $10,000.
“We saw a fantastic opportunity to use our platform of re-introducing pro sports to Tulsa as a way to continue to give back to our city,” said FC Tulsa president James Cannon. “Who better to partner with in that mission than the Tulsa Area United Way? Alison Anthony and the Tulsa Area United Way have been a wonderful community partner of ours over the last year, and the great work they have done and are doing around Tulsa is prevalent in every corner of the community.”
This isn’t the first initiative that FC Tulsa and the Tulsa Area United Way have partnered on over the last year. Throughout 2020, FC Tulsa donated a portion of proceeds from sales of its City Kit and 918 Tee to the Tulsa Area United Way’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
“FC Tulsa demonstrates a deep commitment to their community through these generous partnerships with organizations like Tulsa Area United Way. The collaboration is especially fitting given that FC Tulsa plays its games at ONEOK Field, in the Greenwood area, where Tulsa Area United Way is kicking off its first Day of Caring on March 27,” said Alison Anthony, President and CEO, Tulsa Area United Way. “Not only will this soccer match be a fun, celebratory way for people to begin getting back out in a safe, outdoor environment but the community will benefit from the shared revenue from FC Tulsa’s April 17 match ticket sales. It’s a win-win-win.”
Fans will be able to fill out the form below for FC Tulsa to donate 5% of their Season Ticket Membership purchase to the Tulsa Area United Way. This will come at no extra cost to fan as FC Tulsa will be donating. Season Tickets begin at just $8 a match, and all Memberships purchased prior to FC Tulsa’s full 2021 schedule releasing will come with lifetime pricing. That means the 2021 rates will be locked in for life as long as FC Tulsa plays at ONEOK Field.
