TULSA – It has been a difficult and hard year for many, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t also have plenty to be thankful for. On this Thanksgiving Day, we asked a few of our players what they are thankful for.
Matt Sheldon – Defender
Firstly, I’m thankful for the health and well-being of my family and friends.
I’m thankful for another year of being able to play football even though this season was a bit different than years past.
I’m thankful for my cat, Gucci.
I’m thankful for another year surrounded by a great group of teammates, coaches, and friends.
I’m thankful for my amazingly supportive fiancé and thankful that we scheduled our wedding for 2021 and not 2020.
And lastly, I’m thankful that I went another season without losing a game of two touch.
Lebo Moloto – Midfielder
What I am thankful for this year…
– Birth of our second child
– Healthy family
– Amazing wife
– Have a job, especially during these tough times.
– Supportive family (parents, siblings) & friends and of course their health
– Thankful to have a roof over my head
– Thankful to be surrounded by love (family, friends)
But most of all, I am thankful for LIFE!
Rodrigo da Costa – Midfielder
“This year I am very thankful to God for my life, family, friends, and the opportunity to continue to pursue my dreams. Even though this year has been extremely hard on not only myself but everyone around me, I’m grateful for the moments experienced and I’m looking forward to the moments I will experience.”
Eric Bird – Midfielder
This year I’m extremely thankful for the time we get to spend with family and loved ones. 2020 has been extra stressful for all, so I hope we can use this time to heal and comeback stronger and ready to go in 2021.
P.S. Can’t forget to say that I am thankful I am for stuffing and mac ’n cheese!
Darío Suárez – Forward
“Be thankful for what you have. Your life, no matter how you think it is, is someone else’s fairy tale.”
Bradley Bourgeois – Defender
"I’m thankful for love and time to be able to grow in this year of 2020! Thankful for my fiancé who always has my back and thankful for being able to wake up everyday."
