TULSA – As the entire world continues to deal with the unprecedented ramifications of the novel coronavirus, FC Tulsa is looking to do its part in giving back to the Tulsa community to combat COVID-19. FC Tulsa announced on Tuesday that 50% of all profits from the 2020 City Kit and 918 T-shirt, both available in the FC Tulsa online shop, would be donated to the Tulsa Area COVID-19 Response Fund through the partnership of the Tulsa Area United Way and the Tulsa Community Foundation.
“Our club hashtag of #ForTulsa is more than just a social media slogan, it’s how we want to operate as a professional sports franchise in this city,” said FC Tulsa president James Cannon. “Now more than ever, we will strive to do our part for this great community. Although we aren’t currently playing matches, we won’t stop investing in Tulsa.”
Fans can purchase both the City Kit and the 918 tee in the club’s online shop. The City Kit is one of two FC Tulsa jerseys the club will wear in 2020 in addition to the State Kit. Both were unveiled in late February. The City Kit features the club’s white and gold color scheme and includes the dreamcatcher from the Tulsa flag on the nape of the neck. The jersey comes in men’s, women’s and youth sizes.
The 918 tee, just released a couple of weeks ago, pays homage to the city’s area code and the state bird, the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, which is the focal point of FC Tulsa’s crest. The crest itself appears on the sleeve of the shirt, which comes in adult and youth sizes.
