TULSA, Oklahoma (Friday, August 9th, 2019) – Tulsa Roughnecks FC travel west to take on Real Monarchs in USL Western Conference play. Kickoff from Zions Bank Stadium is set for 9:00 P.M. CDT (Saturday, August 10th, 2019) and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Saturday’s USL Championship match will be the second time the two sides meet this season. The first match at ONEOK Field ended in a 3-1 loss for Tulsa Roughnecks FC.
Tulsa Roughnecks enter the match in 17th place and only 10 points from playoff position. Real Monarchs sit in 6th place and are only two points above the playoff cusp.
Tulsa Roughnecks come into the match after a hard fought match against rivals OKC Energy last weekend. Roughnecks FC and Energy FC drew 1-1 for the second time this season. Rodrigo Da Costa continued his scoring ways as he tallied his eighth goal of the season to add on top of his seven assists.
Real Monarchs enter the match on the back of a 1-0 victory versus Colorado Switchbacks FC. Douglas Martinez carries the side with nine goals on the year and six assists. Martinez buried the third goal against Roughnecks FC when the sides met in June.
