Unlucky in Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV– The Tulsa Roughnecks FC traveled to Nevada to take on Las Vegas Lights FC for the final away match of a three game traveling schedule. In the first half, both teams struggled to break down the opposing backline. The Tulsa Roughnecks FC created a couple of half-chances only to be stopped by Las Vegas Lights FC goalkeeper, Thomas Olsen. Following an uneventful first half, both teams went into the locker room scoreless.
The second half started with higher intensity and excitement as both teams pushed more players into the attacking half searching for that opening goal. The best chance of the game fell to Fredlin Mompremier in the 60th minute when Rodrigo Da Costa played him in one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Mompremier got the better of the Las Vegas Lights FC goalkeeper only to see the ball cleared off the line by Christian Torres. Both teams continued to push for that game-winning goal but could not find the back of the net. The game between Tulsa Roughnecks FC and Las Vegas Lights FC would end goalless.
The Tulsa Roughnecks FC will be back at home, for the first time since April, against Austin Bold FC on Saturday, June 1st at ONEOK Field in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
