The Tulsa Roughnecks FC will host its second match in four days when it takes on the Colorado Spring Switchbacks FC on Saturday, August 11. It will be Roughnecks Team Poster Giveaway Night at ONEOK Field with kickoff for the match scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in downtown Tulsa.
On Saturday, the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a full-color 2018 Roughnecks Team Poster. In addition, it is Back to School Night at the stadium. Students who have completed the Summer Library Reading Program through the Tulsa City-County Libraries get free tickets to the match as part of their rewards. Finally, the night will feature an Oklahoma Blood Institute Blood Drive with fans having the opportunity to donate blood.
Saturday’s match will be the last of two matches against the Switchbacks. On July 21, the Roughnecks fell 4-2 in Colorado Springs despite holding 58% of the possession in the match.
TRFC fell 3-0 to the Oklahoma City Energy FC earlier this week in the third edition of the 2018 Black Gold Derby. Tulsa surrendered a bad goal late in the first half and a controversial goal in the second half, eventually falling 3-0 to Oklahoma City. The result gave the Energy the victory in the 2018 Black Gold Derby Series with two wins in three games between the state rivals. The Roughnecks are 1-10-10 with 13 points this season.
The loss was Roughnecks Head Coach Michael Nsien’s first at ONEOK Field since taking over the team. He now carries a 1-2-2 record after five matches.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are available online by clicking HERE, over the telephone at (918) 744-5901 or in person at the stadium ticket office. Youth players who wear their team’s jersey can obtain any level ticket in the seating bowl or on the grass berm for just $5.
Fans in Tulsa who are unable to attend this weekend’s matches can still watch the action live on Cox YurView channel 1333.
The match will also be streamed live on ESPN+ for fans with a subscription to the service.
