The Roughnecks come into the match still in search of their first win of the season. TRFC enters the contest with 5 points on the season from a 0-4-5 record. The five draws came during a five-match unbeaten streak that ended last Saturday in a loss to Phoenix Rising FC. It was Tulsa’s first loss since March 31.
Earlier this week, the Roughnecks were knocked out of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in a 4-3 loss to Wichita FC.
Last season, Tulsa and San Antonio met four times, including once in the post-season. In the regular season, SAFC swept both meetings, while the Roughnecks claimed a dramatic victory on penalty kicks in the third round of the US Open Cup. The final 2017 meeting occurred in the first round of the USL playoffs with San Antonio scoring in stoppage time to gain a 2-1 victory.
SAFC will bring a 3-2-4 record and 13 points into the match. San Antonio is currently on a four-game unbeaten run with a 2-0-2 record during the streak.
