MATCH RECAP: FC Tulsa Surge Up Western Conference Table After Midweek Victory

TULSA, Okla. (September 30, 2026) — An early goal from Will Wilson was all FC Tulsa needed on Wednesday night to take down New Mexico United 1-0 at ONEOK Field and pick up a massive three points against a Western Conference foe.

The visitors controlled much of the possession early on, holding 79 percent of the ball in the opening 45 minutes. The Scissortails were patient on the counter and capitalized with high pressure in the 19th minute as Jeorgio Kocevski intercepted a pass and flicked the turnover onto Logan Dorsey. His initial shot was saved, but Wilson was there to clean it up and give Tulsa a lead it would not relinquish.

FC Tulsa recorded its 11th clean sheet of the regular season in tonight’s victory, setting a new club single season record. Dane Jacomen came up big with six saves on the night, tying a season high, including a key double save in the first half to keep the visitors off the score sheet.
