TULSA – Luke Spencer will join new Head Coach Mario Sanchez as First Assistant Coach.
Spencer, a former standout Louisville City FC forward, retired as a professional player in 2020 to serve as Assistant Boys Director and College Recruitment Coordinator.
During Spencer’s four-year stint as a player for Louisville City FC, he notched an impressive 28 goals and 11 assists. Spencer was the goal-scoring hero who led Louisville City FC to their 2018 USL Championship Final victory.
After his retirement as a player, Spencer took over as the Director of Louisville City’s Youth Academy. In the academy’s inaugural season in 2021, Spencer led the program to a record of 6-3-1 with a +20 goal differential. In 2023, Spencer led his academy team to win a division of the Dallas Cup. Since his takeover in 2020, Louisville City FC’s Youth Academy has seen six players earn professional contracts.
Spencer played four seasons of college soccer at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and was drafted by New England Revolution in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft
