Ranking near the top in his previous club in goals and assists, Pacheco brings his talents to Tulsa
TULSA – FC Tulsa has signed Lisbon, Portugal native Diogo Pacheco.
During his stint with Minnesota United FC 2, Pacheco showcased his prowess on the field, finishing second in goals and leading the club in assists.
His impressive stats include 1,594 minutes in 26 games played for the club and with an outstanding pass percentage of 75.4%.

The entire staff have shown a lot of energy and passion which only adds to my excitement. I know for a fact it’s going to be an unforgettable season.”
Head Coach Blair Gavin is equally thrilled “Diogo is an exciting addition to the team with his drive and passion for the game,” Gavin said, “He has a unique ability to beat players off the dribble and unlock teams in the final third.”
Pacheco’s journey to professional soccer started at the University of Akron, where he played four seasons before joining Minnesota United FC 2 in 2022.
In the 2021 season, made significant contributions, ranking among the top players in both goals (7) and assists (7). Pacheco played 1,200 minutes in 17 games played and 11 starts earning accolades such as Third Team All-American selection by United Soccer Coaches, First Team Scholar All-American honoree by United Soccer Coaches, First-Team All-MAC, Academic All-MAC, First-Team All-Ohio honoree, and First-Team Academic All-Ohio.
His standout performances continued in previous year, with 2020 seeing him earn First-Team All-MAC, Second-Team United Soccer Coaches All-North/Central Region selection, MAC Distinguished Scholar recipient, and Academic All-MAC honoree.
In 2019, despite facing injury challenges, Pacheco ranked third on the team in goals, earning recognition such as Academic All-MAC, Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association Academic All-Ohio, and CoSIDA Academic All-America District nominee.
In 2018, Pacheco managed five goals and two assists in 602 minutes. His outstanding performance earned him the title of MAC Player of the Week during that season.
Prior to this collegiate and professional career, Pacheco helped his Clube de Futebol Os Belenenses club capture a vice-championship at the U-19 National Championship during the 2016-17 season.
