TULSA – Ranking third in the team with clearances, Patrick Seagrist returns to FC Tulsa for the 2024 season.
The 6-foot left-back from Streamwood, Illinois was acquired by FC Tulsa via transfer in August 2023 from Colorado Spring Switchbacks FC.
The 2023 USL Championship season showcased the distinguished defender as he logged an impressive 2,575 minutes of playtime across 32 matches, starting in 30 of them.
“Patrick grew into a strong presence on the back line since his arrival,” said head coach Blair Gavin, “His ability to get up and down the field and be dangerous in the final third fits the profile we look for in our outside backs.”
Seagrist’s defensive capabilities were on full display with notable achievements – he notched a 60.8% win percentage in tackles and won 28 tackles out of 46.
His dominance against opponents was compounded with an astounding 104 duels won throughout the 2023 season. Seagrist was also impressive with 41 aerial duels won, solidifying him as a versatile defender.
“I am more than happy to be returning to FC Tulsa. When I first arrived half-way through the season last year, the guys welcomed me with open arms,” Seagrist said, “I’m ready to hit the ground running with them and prove to the league what this team is truly capable of with a lot of unfinished business last year and more ready to make a statement.”
In his first season with Switchbacks FC in 2023, Seagrist appeared in the club’s first 21 matches with 20 of those being starts. He notched 3 assists and averaged 4.07 interceptions per 90 minutes.
