Moses Dyer Appears on Team of the Week Bench
HARTFORD, CT. – In a five-goal affair on the road against Hartford Athletic, FC Tulsa saw two players receive Week 32 Team of the Week honors by the USL Championship. A goal and two assists for Marcus Epps was an exact display of the talent he has shown all season, earning him a well-deserved spot on the Team of the Week for the fourth time during the 2023 season. Moses Dyer got himself on the scoresheet twice with the third goal of the night and an assist for Angel Bernal’s first professional goal, earning him a spot on the Team of the Week bench.
Marcus Epps put in a brilliant 90-minute shift last Friday, with three shots on the night and two on target. In the 5’ minute, Epps chipped the keeper to score the first goal of the evening, and his third opening goal of the season. Less than four minutes following, he slotted the ball across the box to Blaine Ferri who finished the job to double the lead for Tulsa in the 9’ minute.
The momentum continued to grow in the 17’ minute when Ferri switched the field to Epps, who notched his second assist of the night with a one-time pass to Moses Dyer, netting the third goal of the evening to put Tulsa up 3-0.
In the 62’ Marcus Epps made a beautiful cross to Moses Dyer, who strategically headed it square to a waiting Angel Bernal to find his first professional goal, and Tulsa’s fourth of the evening. Dyer played the full 90 minutes, finishing with a total of three shots and a passing accuracy of 85.7%.
The two forwards finished the final match of the 2023 USL Championship season with two combined goals and three assists, well-deserving of their Week 32 Team of the Week honors.
