Goodrum’s Panenka Good for Second Tulsa Goal
TAMPA, Fla. – Following another strong performance in an FC Tulsa kit last Friday night, forward Phillip Goodrum has been named to the USL Championship Week 14 Team of the Week bench by the league.
Goodrum bagged his second goal in three matches for Tulsa, a Panenka from the penalty spot that he gracefully lofted past the diving keeper. The score marked the second penalty attempt of Goodrum’s USL Championship career and kept his conversion pct. at a perfect 100%.
In addition to his goal, Goodrum led FC Tulsa in shots (4) and shots on target (2), created one scoring chance, and won 13 of his 18 duels (72%).
Goodrum and the rest of FC Tulsa are back in action this Saturday at ONEOK Field when Orange County SC come to town. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Don’t be a Crybaby t-shirt and a fireworks show will follow the match. Fans can get their tickets here.
