TAMPA, Fla. – FC Tulsa’s 2023 USL Championship schedule is officially locked and loaded. 34 regular season matches await FC Tulsa in the upcoming campaign kicking off on March 11 and concluding on October 14, half of which will take place in the heart of downtown Tulsa.
New to the 2023 season will be six Friday night matches at ONEOK Field:
March 31 – vs. El Paso Locomotive FC
May 19 – vs. Memphis 901 FC
June 30 – vs. Detroit City FC
July 21 – vs. Rio Grande Valley FC Toros
August 4 – vs. Louisville City FC
August 18 – vs. Tampa Bay Rowdies
“We are looking forward to welcoming our fans and supporters back to ONEOK Field in 2023 and are excited to continue the Tulsa soccer momentum set in motion by the record crowds we experienced to close out the 2022 season,” said FC Tulsa president Sam Doerr. “We are particularly excited about Friday night matches this upcoming season and look forward to those becoming a staple of FC Tulsa for many years to come.”
In addition to matches on Friday nights, FC Tulsa’s new-look schedule sees the club unbar ONEOK Field for one Tuesday night matchup vs. Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (H – March 28) and features two Wednesday night matches vs. Miami FC (H – July 12) and Birmingham Legion FC (H – August 23), as well as one Sunday contest with San Antonio FC (H – September 3).
The balanced USL Championship conference alignment in 2023 will result in FC Tulsa playing every club in the league for the first time in franchise history. Fans will have the chance to see Tulsa face every Eastern Conference Club twice, once at home and once on the road, in addition to each Western Conference foe once.
Marquee matchups against clubs from the West include reigning league champions San Antonio FC (H – September 3), a trip 5,000+ feet up into the atmosphere to meet Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (A – August 10), and two early-season visits to the Golden State to face San Diego Loyal SC (A – April 8) and Monterey Bay F.C. (A – May 31).
FC Tulsa will be busy to kick off the season with five matches in 21 days, a stretch which includes three home outings between March 25 and March 31. A quieter April will follow with only three matches on the docket before a more consistent schedule goes into effect featuring either four or five matches each month until the month of October.
Kickoff times for all matches will be announced in the coming weeks.
