Richardson Brings Eight Years of Leadership Experience to FC Tulsa
TULSA – A new man is heading up the community outreach initiative at FC Tulsa. The club has announced the hiring of Keith Richardson as the new Senior Director of Community Engagement.
Richardson, originally from Ireland, initially moved to Tulsa when he was in third grade until the time he graduated from Oklahoma State University. He then spent the next season of his life pairing work with travel, living in Wisconsin, Thailand, and then Philadelphia before returning to Tulsa in 2019.
With eight years of experience in growing organizations from a leadership position, including time spent working with local startups as a strategist and most recently as the Director of Operations for economic development non-profit 36 Degrees North, Richardson brings with him the ability to foster relationships with people as well as optimize business advancement.
“Moving around so much, the importance of building community has always been on the forefront of my mind, and since coming back to Tulsa I have only taken on roles that are impactful in moving Tulsa forward,” said Richardson. “This at role FC Tulsa is the perfect mix of combining my professional skills, personal love of soccer and giving back, and passion of building an inclusive and diverse community within FC Tulsa, for Tulsa.”
On the soccer side, Richardson grew up playing, coaching, and reffing the game while not-so-proudly adopting the Manchester United crest as his own. His father, Kenneth Richardson, played for the Tulsa Roughnecks as a full-back in 1998.
Richardson would also like to formally extend an invitation to beat any Tulsan in beach volleyball at any time.
