Corrales Underwent Successful ACL Surgery on Friday
Left-back Jorge Corrales suffered an ACL injury in FC Tulsa’s match against the Charleston Battery on June 25 and underwent successful surgery this past Friday to repair the damage. Corrales will miss the remainder of the 2022 season and is expected to be healthy heading into 2023.
The Cuban defender made eight appearances for FC Tulsa in 2022, totaling 481 minutes and created three scoring chances. Defensively, Corrales tallied 12 clearances, nine interceptions, and won 71% of his tackles. He ranks sixth in club history with 5,233 minutes logged over his Tulsa career.
Corrales also had a terrific stint with the Cuban National Team during the first window of CONCACAF Nations League in early June. He played all 360 minutes across Cuba’s four matches, leading Cuba to a 3W-1L-1D record with one assist and contributing to two clean sheets.
