TULSA- Its full throttle for FC Tulsa.
After dropping its last three matches, FC Tulsa returns to the friendly confines of ONEOK Field to take back its spot as a top-three club in the Central Division with its matchup at home vs. Indy Eleven on Wednesday night.
The squad hopes to spark a run as the injury report comes up blank for the first time all season, and the addition of newly acquired forward Jason Johnson, a speedster who provides lustrous linkup play and fantastic finishing in the attacking third, could help jump start the club's attack.
Indy Eleven comes into the match without a win in its previous five outings as the Indianapolis club has been ice cold. With leaders Louisville City not appearing to apply the brakes anytime soon, the other Central Division clubs will be looking to kick it into high gear as only five points separate third-place Tulsa from eighth-place Sporting Kansas City II.
The first matchup this season between FC Tulsa and Indy Eleven was the inaugural matchup between the two in history as FC Tulsa proved victorious 2-0, backed by a Joaquín Rivas second-half brace. FC Tulsa will be looking for more of the same as it strives to get back on track and start August with a W.

SCOUTING INDY ELEVEN
Like FC Tulsa, Indy Eleven is looking to turn around its fortunes as of late. Indy has not won a match since June 20th, earning three draws and losing twice during their five-match skid. In those five matches, Indy has mustered just six goals, one of which being an own goal gifted to them on behalf of Birmingham Legion FC. Overall Indy has scored 15 goals all season, the fourth fewest in all of USL Championship.
Jordan Hamilton leads the squad with four goals, Gordon Wild claims the title of best assist man with three, and goalkeeper Jordan Farr has recorded 25 saves while conceding just nine goals in eight appearances.
THINGS TO KNOW
1) HOME SWEET HOME
ONEOK Field has treated FC Tulsa much better than the road has in the 2021 season. Despite having played four fewer matches at home than on the road, the club has as many wins at ONEOK Field as it does away from it, coming away victorious three times. Tulsa has scored 12 goals at home as opposed to 10 on the road, as well as conceded 10 times at home but 16 times on the road.
2) ASSIST MAN
Rodrigo da Costa enters the match looking for his 20th assist as a member of FC Tulsa, a category in which the Brazilian is already the all-time club leader in. Da Costa has assisted his teammates four times this season, good for the best on the club and top-5 in USL Championship. His eight goals also lead FC Tulsa.
3) A NEW ATTACKING THREAT
On Monday, FC Tulsa acquired forward Jason Johnson via transfer from Austin Bold FC. The Jamaican was initially drafted no. 13 overall by the Houston Dynamo in 2013 and would net four career MLS goals before becoming one of the best scoring threats in the USL Championship. FC Tulsa brought in the Jamaican international with 30 career USL Championship goals, several of which rattled home from outside the box. Johnson also has three caps for the Reggae Boyz, the men’s national team for Jamaica.
Johnson has arrived in Tulsa, been practicing with the squad and could be on the roster for Wednesday night. The decision regarding how many minutes, if any, Johnson will see in his roster debut will be up to head coach Michael Nsien.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
