TULSA, Oklahoma (Saturday, September 7th, 2019) – This evening Tulsa Roughnecks FC will play Rio Grande Valley Toros in USL Western Conference play. Kickoff from H-E-B Park (Edinburg, TX) is set for 7:30 P.M. CDT and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
This USL Championship match will be the second time the two sides meet this season. The first match at ONEOK Field (Tulsa, OK) ended in a 2-1 win for Tulsa with goals coming from Rodrigo Da Costa and Fabian Bastidas.
Tulsa Roughnecks FC enter the match with a 5-13-9 record sitting 16th in the USL Championship Western Conference. Rio Grande Valley FC are ranked just above Tulsa at 15th with four more points.
Tulsa Roughnecks FC go into tonights match following Wednesdays tie with El Paso Locomotive FC. Goals on Wednesday came from new signing and USL team of the week honoree Marlon, as well as midfielder Cristhian Altamirano.
Rio Grande Valley have a 7-12-7 overall record and a 6-4-3 home record. The Toros have two players who have found the goal nine times in 2019, Michael Slazar and Carlos Small. Both players will be watched closely by the Tulsa Roughnecks backline.
