The Tulsa Roughnecks FC will participate in their fifth Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Tournament this season. The club is scheduled to face Austin Bold FC at Bold Stadium in Austin, Texas on May 14th at 7:30PM.
U.S. Soccer revealed today the second-round matchups for the 2019 U.S. Open Cup, which will see 25 USL Championship teams compete against the remaining 32 Open Division squads; clubs from the National Premier Soccer League, USL League Two, and USL League One from the first-round matchups.
If the Roughnecks win their second-round match, the club has put in a bid to host a third-round match at ORU’s Case Soccer Complex. Home teams for each round are determined by a random selection process among the clubs that have applied to host and whose venues meet the minimum tournament requirements.
The 2019 U.S. Open Cup began May 7th with 84 teams from all levels of American soccer. The 106th edition of the storied tournament features a single-tiered bracket with eight rounds of single-elimination play until a champion is crowned in late August.

The winner of the 2018 U.S. Open Cup will receive $300,000 in prize money. The runner-up will receive $100,000 and the team that advances the furthest from each lower division will earn $25,000. The 2019 champion will also receive a berth in the 2020 CONCACAF Champions League.
