TULSA, March 15, 2019—The Tulsa Roughnecks add a new goalkeeper to their 2019 roster. It was announced today that Mason Stajduhar will join on a season-long loan from Orlando City SC of the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Stajduhar, signed a homegrown contract with Orlando City in November of 2015, becoming the 4thDevelopment Academy player to sign a first-team deal with the MLS club. The Massachusetts native spent the last two seasons with Orlando City. Stajduhar was previously ranked fourth overall in the United States at his position, according to TopDrawerSoccer.com in 2015.
At the national team level, Stajduhar has been a feature on the United States Youth National Team on a consistent basis, most recently representing the U.S. U-18 and U-20 Men’s National Teams.
“We are glad to have Mason as part of our team. Right away you can tell that he will be a great addition from the professional and team culture aspect,” said Head Coach, Michael Nsien. “He is an up and coming keeper in the United States. He will push the other goalkeepers and from that, we will all benefit.”
