TULSA, OK. –Tulsa Roughnecks won 1-0 against the University of Tulsa (TU) men’s soccer team in their final preseason friendly played in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday evening. The game would finish seeing the Roughnecks improve to a 5-1-0 overall record for their 2019 preseason campaign.
The Tulsa Roughnecks opened the scoring early on in the 21st minute with the single goal of the game coming from Rodrigo Da Costa and Moses Makinde with the assist. TU had some decent opportunities but ultimately were unable to find the back of the net in the full 90 minutes.
“We are glad to get our 6th and final preseason game under our belt. It was good to see the rhythm and quality of play at a high level in moments of the first half. We pushed some players for extended minutes without injury. We were very inconsistent in the second half while in and out of possession. We will address those moments and look to shape up the details before the home opener,” said Michael Nsien (Head Coach, TulsaRoughnecks), “We are very excited to get this season underway .”
