For the first time in over a month, the Tulsa Roughnecks FC will be back at ONEOK Field on Saturday, September 15 as it hosts San Antonio FC. It will be the first of three straight home matches for the Roughnecks with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. It will be Hispanic Heritage Night at ONEOK Field with a spectacular Fireworks Show planned.
The Roughnecks will be honoring Tulsa’s Hispanic community with culturally-relevant music and promotions. In addition, the Roughnecks will light up the skies with fireworks above downtown Tulsa after the conclusion of the match.
Saturday’s match will be the second of two meetings against San Antonio FC this season. On May 19, the Roughnecks fought to a 1-1 draw at Toyota Field in San Antonio. SAFC scored first in the match, but early in the second half, Joaquin Rivas buried a 20-foot rocket into the back of the net for the equalizer.
Tulsa returns home after enduring its longest road stretch of the season. During the five-match road swing, the Roughnecks went 0-4-1 with their only result coming in Seattle with a 4-4 draw against the Sounders 2. Overall this season, the Roughnecks are 2-14-11 with 17 points. San Antonio will enter the game with 43 points from a 12-9-7 record and with a three-game winning streak.
