Following an unexpected weekend off, the Tulsa Roughnecks FC take back to the road this weekend for a meeting with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, July 21. It will be the first meeting this season between the two Western Conference teams. Kickoff at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs is set 7:00 p.m. CDT.
The Roughnecks match with Saint Louis FC, scheduled for last Saturday, was postponed by lightning. TRFC has yet to lose under new head coach Michael Nsien, picking up a win and two draws in three matches.
The Roughnecks will enter the match in Colorado Springs with 12 points through 18 matches this season. The Switchbacks have 25 points from 21 matches. Colorado Springs has a 5-4-3 record in home games, while the Roughnecks are 0-4-5 in away games.
It will be the seventh meeting all-time between the two sides with TRFC going 1-2-0 in three previous trips to Weidner Field.
Saturday’s match will be streamed live on ESPN+ for fans with a subscription to the service.
NOTES: Following Saturday’s game, the Roughnecks will be home at ONEOK Field for their next three matches. TRFC will host Fresno FC on Saturday, July 28, Oklahoma City on Wednesday, August 8 and the Switchbacks on Saturday, August 11. . . .Last week’s postponed match at Saint Louis FC has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 10 with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. CDT.
