The Tulsa Roughnecks FC will play its second match in four days on Saturday night in the second meeting this season with the Las Vegas Lights FC. There will be a number of activities throughout the day in conjunction with the match. The activities are highlighted by a special post-match Fireworks Extravaganza celebrating Independence Day presented by 2 Works For You and 106.9 K-Hits.
Other events will include a special disc golf tournament starting at 10:00 a.m. at ONEOK Field hosted by Basketcase Disc Golf. There will be ten holes located throughout the stadium and your entry fee of $25 includes a ticket to the Roughnecks match and a commemorative disc. More information is available HERE.
In addition, if you are looking for a place to watch the day’s World Cup matches, the Busch Scoreboard Bar will be open beginning at 10:00 a.m. We will be showing the second half of the France vs. Argentina game and the entire game between Uruguay and Portugal that kicks off at 1:00 p.m.
There will also be a Youth Soccer Clinic on the field with the Roughnecks players beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Saturday’s match will mark the first time that the Roughnecks have hosted the expansion Lights. TRFC traveled to Las Vegas on May 5 and played the Lights to a 1-1 draw. Las Vegas comes to Tulsa on the heels of a 3-2 loss at Swope Park and has 16 points on the season from a 4-6-4 record.
The Roughnecks will enter Saturday’s match coming off their first victory of the season. In new Head Coach Michael Nsien’s debut on Wednesday, Jhon Pirez and Paris Gee each found the back of the net as Tulsa defeated the LA Galaxy II 2-0. The Roughnecks have 10 points and are 1-8-7 on the season.
The Roughnecks will be celebrating Independence Day with the huge post-match Fireworks Extravaganza that will light up the downtown Tulsa sky. It is also Military Appreciation Night, so any active or retired military member will receive two free tickets to the Busch Terrace or family stand section by presenting their military ID at the ticket windows.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are available online by clicking HERE, over the phone at (918) 744-5901 or in person at the stadium ticket office. Youth players who wear their team’s jersey can obtain any level ticket in the seating bowl or on the grass berm for just $5.
Fans in Tulsa who are unable to attend this weekend’s matches can still watch the action live on Cox YurView channel 1333.
The match will also be streamed live on ESPN+ for fans with a subscription to the service.

First, fans will be able to play a round of disc golf at ONEOK Field from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Cost is $25 per player and includes a ticket to the match and a special Roughnecks/Tulsa Drillers commemorative disc.
We will also have a World Cup Watch Party at the Busch Scoreboard Bar starting at 10:00 a.m. for the second half of the France and Argentina match and for the 1:00 p.m. match between Uruguay and Portugal.
In addition, kids will have an opportunity to sharpen their soccer skills with the Roughnecks players in a Youth Soccer Clinic. The Arvest Gate will open at 6:00 p.m. for the clinic, and it will run from 6:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
It is also Military Appreciation Night at the stadium. Fans that are active or retired military, who show their military ID, will receive two free tickets in the Family Stand or the Busch Terrace.
Minutes after the conclusion of the match, fans will get to watch fireworks light up the Tulsa skyline in a post-match Fireworks Extravaganza.
