Jon Bakero’s impact for the Roughnecks in Wednesday night’s match against Fresno FC earned him a spot on the USL Team of the Week for week six. The forward came into the game right after halftime and his presence was immediately felt on the pitch.
In the 55th minute, Bakero delivered a cross to Paris Gee that was headed into the corner of the net for an assist. Late in stoppage time and down by one, the former Wake Forest star buried the equalizer into the back of the net to give the Roughnecks a valuable point on the road.
