The Roughnecks have added another striker to their squad for tonight’s match in Fresno. Jon Bakero, who was the fifth overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft, has officially joined TRFC on loan from the Chicago Fire. Bakero made his professional debut last Saturday, playing the final minutes of the Fire’s 1-0 loss to the LA Galaxy and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Wake Forest University product scored 37 career goals for the Demon Deacons.
Bakero joins Femi Hollinger-Janzen, a forward on loan from the New England Revolution who is also in Fresno for the match. Both are available to TRFC Head Coach David Vaudreuil for tonight’s match.
In addition, goalkeeper Stefan Cleveland is expected to be with the team in California on loan from the Fire.
