Saturday’s match between the Tulsa Roughnecks and the Swope Park Rangers, scheduled to be played at ONEOK Field, was postponed due to wet conditions and will be played at a later date. The Tulsa area was hit with heavy thunderstorms overnight and this morning. The referee for the match determined that the 2-plus inches of rain that fell made the field unplayable.
The match will be rescheduled for a later date this season. That date has not been determined at this time.
Fans holding tickets for tonight’s match should hang on to them as they will be honored for the makeup date, or for any other match at ONEOK Field this regular season.
The Sammy Ochoa T-Shirt giveaway from Cox will also be rescheduled for another date.
The Roughnecks will now return to action on Thursday, August 11 when they travel to Colorado Springs to take on the Switchbacks. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30pm CDT.
