PREVIEW – Tulsa Roughnecks F.C. (TRFC) will play its second match in five days in the Pacific Northwest when they take on Seattle Sounders 2 Sunday evening at Starfire Sports Complex, which is located just outside of Seattle. Kickoff is scheduled for 9:00pm Central Time.
Tulsa will look to snap its six-match winless streak in the meeting. It is the only regular season meeting between the two teams this season.
LOOKING FOR A TURNAROUND – The Roughnecks have not posted a win since their season-opening victory over Rio Grande Valley. Their winless streak appeared to be coming to an end Wednesday night in Vancouver, as TRFC twice took a lead in the match, but Whitecaps 2 scored two goals in the final minutes of the match to send the Roughnecks to a 3-2 defeat.
THE OPPONENT – Like Tulsa, Sounders 2 has only one win on the young season, but they are unbeaten in their last three matches after gaining draws in their last two outings. They will enter the match with six points and a 1-3-3 record through seven matches. Seattle’s lone victory came in a 1-0 decision over Colorado Springs at Starfire on April 17.
