The Tulsa Roughnecks have finalized terms with a pair of defenders in preparation for the club’s season opener Saturday night at ONEOK Field. The Roughnecks announced that they have added Raymond Lee and Anthony Peters to their squad.
Both defenders have spent time with the team during preseason training and will provide experience to Tulsa’s backline.

Lee (pictured left) spent last season in Major League Soccer with the Philadelphia Union. The Kansas City native was a 2015 MLS SuperDraft selection by the Union and saw action in one regular season match. Lee, who attended St. Louis University, is primarily a left back.

Peters (pictured right) comes to Tulsa after spending last season in the USL with the Wilmington Hammerheads. The 6’ 6” center back has also played in the USL with the Harrisburg Islanders and the Richmond Kickers.
During his career, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native has also had stints with clubs in England, Wales, Norway and Iceland.
Both Peters and Lee will be available to Head Coach David Irving for Saturday’s opener.
Tickets for Saturday’s match are currently available at the ONEOK Field Ticket Office and online at TulsaRoughnecksFC.com. Kickoff against the Rio Grande Valley Toros (Houston Dynamo 2) is scheduled for 7:00pm.
