MATCH PREVIEW
Saturday, June 9
vs. Saint Louis FC
Kickoff – 7:30 p.m. at ONEOK Field
The Tulsa Roughnecks FC will be back in action at ONEOK Field this Saturday, June 9, with its first meeting this season with Saint Louis FC. It is Fabian Cerda Jersey Night with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in downtown Tulsa.
The first 1,000 fans of all ages to enter the stadium through the Oil Derrick or Arvest Entrances will receive a specially-designed Cerda Jersey compliments of Mazzio’s, Tulsa’s Channel 8 and 101.5 El Patron. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m.
It will also be “Halfway to Halloween” Night with fans in costume getting $2 off normal ticket prices. In addition, there will be several Trick or Treat stations set up in various locations throughout the stadium.
The Roughnecks are still search of their first win of the season after falling 1-0 last weekend in Los Angeles against Galaxy II. TRFC suffered the loss despite controlling much of the play and possession over the 90 minutes. The result marked the first time in eight matches that Tulsa failed to score a goal.
It was only the second loss in the past nine regular season games for the Roughnecks, but the elusive first win still went missing. TRFC has tied in seven of its past nine regular season outings.
Saint Louis will enter the match with plenty of confidence after posting an impressive 2-0 home victory over Swope Park last Saturday. Former Roughnecks player Joey Calistri netted one of the goals for STLFC who improved its point total to 17 with the victory from a 4-4-5 record.
It will be the first of two meeting this season between the Interstate 44 rivals, with the return leg scheduled to be played in St. Louis on August 25. Overall, it will be the eighth meeting all-time with Tulsa holding a 2-4-1 record in the previous seven matchups.
The game marks the first of three home matches for the Roughnecks during the month of June. TRFC will also host the LA Galaxy II on June 27 and the Las Vegas Lights on June 30.
Tickets for all three matches are available online by clicking HERE, over the telephone at (918) 744-5901 or in person at the stadium ticket office. Youth players who wear their team’s jersey can obtain any level ticket in the seating bowl or on the grass berm for just $5.
