TULSA, Oklahoma (Friday, May 17th , 2019) – After last week’s match in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the Tulsa Roughnecks FC travel to San Antonio, Texas this weekend to take on San Antonio FC. Kickoff in San Antonio is set for 7:30 P.M. CST (Saturday, May 18th , 2019) and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Tomorrow’s USL Championship match will be the first of two meetings between Tulsa Roughnecks FC and San Antonio FC, with the Roughnecks currently placing at 5th in the standings, and San Antonio FC in 16th place.
The official watch party for Saturday night’s match will be at Osage Casino & Hotel – Thunder Bar & Grill.
San Antonio FC are coached by Englishmen, Darren Powell. Powell joined San Antonio FC in 2016 after a spell coaching in the youth system at Orlando City SC of the MLS. Powell is a holder of U.S Soccer Pro Coaching License.
Jack Barmby, the San Antonio FC midfielder joined the team prior to the 2019 season and is a player that has the ability to create chances against any team. Barmby was with Manchester United and Hull City as a youth player, has head spells with numerous English Football League Clubs (Hartlepool United, Leicester City, Rotherham United, and Notts County) and made appearances for the Portland Timbers of the MLS.
