Ringing in his sixth season with the club, Bradley Bourgeois returns to FC Tulsa.
TULSA – University of Tulsa alumnus and seasoned defender Bradley Bourgeois returns once again to FC Tulsa for his fifth season with the club. In 2023, Bourgeois was signed to a multi year deal with FC Tulsa.
Despite facing challenges with injuries throughout the 2023 season, Bourgeois showcased his resilience and dedication on the field, logging an impressive 1,054 minutes on the field across 13 games. His standout statistics rank him amongst the top performers in the club.

Bourgeois remarkable achievements include 55 clearances, 43 duels won, 22 out of 37 aerial duels won, and an outstanding pass accuracy percentage of 83.7.
The 2022 season saw Bourgeois stepping into the role of team captain in the 2022 season, a position he embraces with exemplary leadership. During this season, he appeared 28 times and started 27 in the 2022 season. Bourgeois led the team in crucial defensive categories with 18 blocks, 40 interceptions, and 67 clearance, Bourgeois proved to be an indispensable force on the pitch.
“Bradley brings a strong presence to the team and gives us the confidence of realizing our goals,” Head Coach Blair Gavin said, “His ability to read the game and stop dangerous plays before they happen will make us a strong defensive unit. Plus his quality on the ball will help us dictate the rhythm of the game how we want.”
Offensively, Bourgeois showcased his versatility by contributing three assists in the 2022 season, highlighting his impact on both ends of the pitch. His exceptional performance led to him being named FC Tulsa’s Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season.
Bourgeois’ journey with FC Tulsa has been marked by consistent excellence. In the 2021 season, despite battling through injury in the season making 27 starts in 28 game appearances.
His defensive contributions include finishing second in the club in clearances with 76, blocks with 18, and interceptions with 58 positioned himself as a key asset for FC Tulsa.
The 2020 season saw Bourgeois taking the role as Vice Captain and playing every minute of the 2020 campaign and earned club honors as the 2020 FC Tulsa Defender of the Year.
During the Tulsa Roughnecks era, Bourgeois played one season while helping lead Tulsa to a USL Championship Playoff berth, the first in club history.
Additionally, Bourgeois’ stint with USL Championship’s Nashville SC in 2018-2019 (now in the MLS) showcased his skills as he made 42 appearances in Nashville SC’s second-ranked defense in 2018 and top ranked defense in 2019. Bourgeois notched two goals and two assists in his two years with the club.
In 2016, after college, Bourgeois signed for the Houston Dynamo in MLS and made appearances for the club’s USL Championship affiliate Rio Grande Valley Toros FC.
Playing for the University of Tulsa, Bourgeois’ accolades include two-time All-Conference First Team player in 2014 and 2015 among many other collegiate accolades. He started all 81 matches that TU played during his four years in Tulsa notching seven goals and an assist. While Bourgeois was on the team, the university advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament in 2012, won back-to-back American Athletic Conference championships, and made two more NCAA Tournament appearances in 2014 and 2015.
