President James Cannon Address Team to Kick off 2022 Season
TULSA – Tuesday morning marked the official start of the 2022 season for FC Tulsa as players reported to the club’s training facility for a day of meetings and physicals prior to preseason training camp.
Nearly all of FC Tulsa’s senior team roster was at Titan Sports Complex in South Tulsa as the day opened with an address by team president James Cannon before the team heard from various other members of the front office and technical staff. Players received a tour of Titan, picked up some new PUMA training gear and had a chance to catch up with old teammates while meeting new faces.
Some of the new faces at team orientation included forwards Brian Brown and JJ Williams, midfielders Petar Čuić and Abuchi Obinwa and defenders Matheus Silva and Adrián Diz Pe.
El Salvador National Team players Joaquín Rivas and Ronald Rodríguez will miss the first week in Tulsa as “La Selecta” continues with its final World Cup Qualifier of the international window. Meanwhile Honduran forward Machuca and Brazilian defender Gabi Torres are finalizing international travel and are likely to arrive in Tulsa within the week.
The team’s first training session will be Wednesday afternoon at Titan as the club will begin two-a-day training sessions on Thursday.
