2022
Gabriel Torres was signed by FC Tulsa ahead of the 2022 regular season.
2020-2021 – Hartford Athletic (USL Championship)
After kicking off his career with a brief stint with the Chattanooga FC in the NPSL, Torres began his professional campaign and signed with USL Championship-side Hartford Athletic for the 2020 season. The left-back proved stout for Hartford on both the defensive and offensive sides of the ball as Hartford finished first in Group F and tied for second in most points scored on the season. In 14 appearances, Torres started 12 matches, scored two goals, and logged two assists as well. He played all 90 minutes of Hartford’s playoff match against Saint Louis FC in its 1-0 first-round loss.
Torres returned to Hartford in 2021 and had another standout season. He appeared in 15 matches for the club with 13 starts. Torres increased his assist total from the previous season by one, setting a new career-high with three in just the first four matches of the season. In his two seasons with Hartford, Torres was relentless when it came to serving the ball into the box, tallying 78 total crosses peppered into a dangerous area for his teammates and creating 24 scoring chances.
2019 – Chattanooga FC (NPSL)
Torres made four appearances for Chattanooga FC in 2019 and helped the club win the Southeast Conference Playoffs. He also competed in the NPSL Member’s Cup that year as well.
2018 – The Villages FC (USL League Two)
While still attending the University of the District of Columbia in 2018, Torres was also playing with USL League Two’s Floridian club The Villages FC. He made 17 appearances across the regular season and playoffs on his way to winning the Southern Conference. Torres earned League Two All-League and All-Southern Conference honors for his exceptional performance.
