ADAM ARMOUR BIO
Adam Armour was acquired via MLS loan by FC Tulsa on May 8, 2023 for the remainder of the 2023 USL Championship season.
2021-2023 – CHARLOTTE FC/CROWN LEGACY FC (MLS/MLS NEXT PRO)
Armour signed with MLS’ Charlotte FC on June 29, 2021 ahead of the club’s inaugural Major League Soccer season in 2022. He was subsequently loaned to Charlotte Independence for the 2021 season before returning to the MLS side in 2022.
The defender went into the Charlotte history book by bagging the clubs’s first goal on March 13, 2022 vs. Atlanta United FC. Unfortunately, Armour suffered multiple injuries to his meniscii and underwent ACL reconstruction surgery to repair the damage. In total, Armour appeared five times for Charlotte FC in MLS play and once in the Open Cup before his season was curtailed.
In 2023, Armour made four appearances for Charlotte’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, Crown Legacy FC, where he registered two assists before being loaned to FC Tulsa for the remained of the season.
2021 – CHARLOTTE INDPENDENCE (USL CHAMPIONSHIP)
Armour joined the USL-C side on loan in 2021 and helped the club secure a Playoffs spot in its final year in the Championship. He totaled 20 appearances between regular season and postseason play while racking up four assists.
2020 – 1. FC NÜRNBERG (2. BUNDESLIGA)
The North Carolina native verbally committed to attending Duke University in 2020, but instead opted to sign with 1. FC Nürnberg in Second Division Germany where he appeared twice for the club’s U19 squad.
2019-2020 – NORTH CAROLINA FC (USL CHAMPIONSHIP)
Armour came up through North Carolina’s youth system, beginning as a U14, and later signed with his hometown USL Championship club on an Academy deal in 2019. The following season, Armour inked another Academy deal with North Carolina FC to remain with the club in 2020 before making the move to Germany.
Armour capped 19 times at the U17 level for the United States and served as a crucial piece for the Red, White, and Blue during U17 World Cup Qualifying in 2019. Once the States qualified for the U17 World Cup, Armour started the club’s first match of Group play vs. Senegal on October 27, 2019. Armour also participated in a handful of International Friendly tournaments between 2018-2019.
