For the second time this season, FC Tulsa keeper Sean Lewis has been nominated by the USL Championship for Save of the Week.
The nominated save was an outstanding display of reaction time and agility by the Michigan native, parrying away a header from Louisville’s Paolo DelPiccolo from just six yards away. The shot was arcing to Lewis’ left, but he was able to reach up and get his fingertips on the ball, guiding it up over the crossbar to safety.
Lewis’ save in the 60’ was crucial to the final result of the match, shutting out one of the best clubs in the League and extending FC Tulsa’s win streak to four at the time with a 1-0 victory.
