Mfon Udoh arrived from Akwa United on January 13, 2020. A 27-year-old forward, Udoh brings a national pedigree of scoring goals from the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL). Udoh is the only player in league history to score more than 20 goals in a season and his single-season record of 23, set in 2014, still stands. In 2019, Udoh became the only player to top the NPFL scoring charts in two different seasons when he scored 10 goals for Akwa to co-lead the league.
From 2013-2018, Udoh represented Enyimba FC in the NPFL, where he tore up the league for five seasons, scoring 79 goals and setting the single-season record with 23 goals in the 2014 season. The club finished runners up in that 2014 NPFL season, but Udoh was voted NPFL Player of the Year. In 2016, Udoh was the CAF Champions League's top scorer, scoring nine goals despite the fact that the club only played four matches as they were eliminated in the group stage.
His first season of professional soccer came with his hometown club of Akwa United, where he scored 16 goals in a season where he crucially helped "the Promise Keepers" avoid relegation.
Udoh has scored one goal in his three senior national team appearances with the Nigerian national team.
