Primarily playing at right back, Sheldon made 20 appearances for FC Tulsa in 2019, chipping in an assist in the season opening draw against Portland Timbers 2. Sheldon, 27, played in every game he was available for selection, missing 14 matches from March 17-June 16 with an abdominal injury.
Sheldon arrived in Tulsa in January of 2019 after he played a season with Waterside Kaori, an amateur club side in Wellington, New Zealand, where he made seven appearances.
He played the 2017 season with Saint Louis FC in the USL Championship Eastern Conference, notching an assist in 11 appearances.
Sheldon briefly joined the Orange County Blues U-23 squad in 2016 before moving to sixth-tier German Side SG Kinzenbach for the latter part of the 2016 season. He returned to Orange County Blues and making his professional debut in the USL Championship in July of 2016.
Sheldon played four years at UC Davis, starting 35 of his 61 appearances from 2011-2014. In over just 5,000 NCAA minutes, he scored 15 goals and added seven assists for the Aggies. After leaving UC Davis, he played in the PDL for San Jose Earthquakes U23 in 2014 and Ventura County Fusion U23 in 2015.
Through his popular YouTube channel “Become Elite,” Sheldon has amassed a global following of more than 300,000 subscribers while showing a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a professional soccer player. He also hosts a podcast titled "Against All Odds" that regularly features FC Tulsa teammates.
